Striking cdv of a priest wearing and extremely large cross around his neck and is finger holding a favorite passage.  We rarely see one of this proportions and it certainly dominates the image.  He has a slight smile on his face and is most relaxed with his pose.  We also simple love the ornate slightly evil looking lion creature carved in the arm of the chair!   The image is in very good condition with rich tones and contrast and a few small spots as seen.  By famous NY photographer Nicholas Sarony who of course was known for his portraits of famous stars of the theatre.
